Dirty Hands
About This Spot
Stepping into Dirty Hands in Poblacion, Makati, is like entering a casual yet vibrant nook where Mediterranean flavors come alive with a playful, hands-on spirit. The pace here feels unhurried but buzzing just enough, striking a comfortable balance between neighborhood familiarity and the excitement of something a bit unexpected. There’s a warmth in the way staff greet you, an openness that sets the tone even before the food arrives.
The two-story space has a raw, effortless charm that invites sharing and lingering, whether you find a spot on the ground floor or head upstairs where the lively chatter of fellow diners adds to the welcoming hum. Ordering is straightforward, and the flow from counter to table feels fluid — like joining a communal rhythm rather than following a strict routine.
What makes Dirty Hands truly stand out is its approach to shawarma, turning each bite into a sensory story. The bread—sourdough tombik or tender lavash—wraps around fillings that are pronounced yet balanced, fresh with ingredients that feel thoughtfully combined but never overcomplicated. It’s the kind of place where sauces and dips aren’t just afterthoughts but partners in flavor, coaxing you to savor every messy, satisfying mouthful.
Alongside the star shawarma offerings, the communal mezze elements and creative sides add layers to the experience, inviting moments of discovery with each platter shared among friends or solo. There's an inviting generosity in portion sizes and a comforting humanness in the service that feels more like being welcomed into a friend’s kitchen than just ordering a meal.
Dirty Hands is a reminder that great food doesn’t always demand formality. It’s about warmth, a flavor that lingers beyond the plate, and moments that quietly turn into memories—perfect for when you’re craving something familiar yet a little different, nestled right at the heart of Makati’s lively pulse.

Tried their sourdough tombik, it’s like a burger style shawarma. An order is big can be shared by 2 if you are not a heavy eater. I went for the a la turka for the authentic flavor. I love the flavor and the quality of the sourdough bread. The chicken shawarma was legit. Just wish they just provide the yogurt sauce and hot sauce for free like in other place. Overall I enjoyed and the service was great!

Great service! Upon entering, everyone will greet you and one of their staff will prime you with seat availability, their menu and modes of payment which are cash and Gcash. You have to order and pay at the counter on the ground floor. When we headed to the second floor, we were surprised there were already a lot of people even when we thought we went early (around 5:30pm) but atmosphere and ventilation was great. It felt like we still had privacy and AC plus ceiling fans worked great against the humidity outside though this area in Poblacion’s better since it’s more residential so it’s quieter. Serving time was fast and serving sizes were generous. Flavors were unique, we really liked the tombik! So much better than the typical wrap or pita used for shawarmas. Quality of the meats were also better than the usual, we were told that beef’s only available on the weekends. Also kind of regret that we didn’t try their Dirty Hands Special which was Bom Dia (Brazilian inspired, with chimichurri) at this time. But definitely looking forward to trying their other offerings.

Really enjoyed our meals here! Food We ordered two meals: • Chicken – Double Lavash (A La Turka) – This was good! Flavorful and satisfying. • Chicken – Sourdough Tombik (Paris Paris) – A nice and unique twist on shawarma, and I liked it a lot. We also liked the fries and the Rite and Lite soda — perfect combo. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving something different!

Dirty Hands "Messy if done Right" I have finally tried the hidden gem in makati that serves Mediterranean Foods with a twist and I was really amazed and convinced how literally Delicious menu they have as per reviews online. I ordered their Beef Double Lavash Meal that goes with Fries and Drinks from the selection, words are not enough until you tried them yourself because it defines the phrase "to see is to believed" and the Garlic Mayo Sauce was TOP NOTCH. The Crew was very accommodating and friendly even though I arrived an hour before closing time but still they were able to served me some great foods in front after ordering. I will definitely try their Chicken Menu next time since I enjoyed every last bite of my Food, a bang for buck indeed. I recommend all fans of Mediterranean or Middle-East Food Foodies out there, try it out and enjoy as well. Kudos to the Crew, had conversations with some of them and they're very friendly to tell me about Dirty Hands.

Everything we tried was super good! Portions were generous (hindi tinipid sa chicken and sauce) and the chicken was juicy and tender. The pita with dips was a hit too, and I especially loved the red capsicum dip. Even the dirty fries were really tasty. The chef/owner was so nice and even gave us extra garlic mayo dip. Service was fast and the staff were all friendly and attentive. If you like beef, visit on Saturdays. Definitely bookmarking this spot and coming back!

My wife and I had dinner here late at night. We appreciated that they were located in the quieter parts of Pobla. The staff were warm and welcoming. There was a guy (I forgot to ask his name) that was particularly helpful; he oriented us on the menu and escorted us to our tables at the 2nd floor. We ordered 2 meals, a chicken double lavash w/ dirty special, double beef sourdough tombik w/ a la turka sauce (just came from the gym and needed extra protein) , the flammkuchen w/ both flavors in 1. To summarize, the food was delicious especially the appetizers (dirty fries were awesome and the flammkuchen was unique). Had a great and quiet time. 10/10, will come back. PS: PET-FRIENDLY! So our little chihuahua (Mucho) was able to join us :)

My first experience here is the best! Why? Because aside from their food is unique and tasty, the service from all the staff is very friendly and helpful during my time here. Will definitely come back for other flavors in their menu, easy to order!

Food and service were great! Shoutout to the staff for guiding us with their menu! The sourdough tombik fits perfectly with their shawarma. We highly suggest you get the Mezze Platter! A bang for your buck indeed.
